L'Oréal Switzerland

Create The Beauty That Moves The World

Discover more

Our story in Switzerland began in Geneva in 1942 with the foundation of Lorsa SA and the distribution of L’Oréal hair care products.

Five years later, an academy was opened in Zurich, followed later by another in Lausanne. In 2009, L'Oréal Switzerland brought its various site teams together in a central headquarters in Geneva, while also maintaining a training academy in Zurich. Today, we offer more than 25 brands to our customers, providing the highest quality in every product category, in every distribution channel and in all price ranges.

The well-being and development of our teams is a subject close to our hearts, and our goal is to be one of the country’s most attractive employers. That we are on the right track is confirmed by numerous surveys of students and young managers, who consistently award L'Oréal Switzerland a high ranking. We also take our social responsibility very seriously.

In Switzerland, we are a founding member of the "Look Good Feel Better" foundation, which helps people with cancer to boost their self-confidence.

At L’Oréal, we care for animal welfare and we do not test on animals. We are for beauty with no animal testing.

Since 1989, 14 years before the "EU" regulations required us to do so, we have not tested the safety of our products on animals.
Because we care about animal welfare, over 40 years ago, L’Oréal pioneered the development of human reconstructed skin that can be used to evaluate how cosmetic ingredients and products behave on human skin.
